Reimagining the Sunset Home: Week Three
Watch us build Celebration Weekend 2013's feature exhibit from a blank slate to a home worthy of a spread in Sunset Magazine!
Closing up the walls
There has been lots of progress this week in our Reimagined Home. Drywall is going up! Now you can really get a sense of the fireplace structure, a handsome division between the living room and kitchen.
Getting ready for paint
Once we’re finished with drywall, we can start painting. We’re showcasing Benjamin Moore’s new Color Stories collection, combining warm neutrals with some surprising pops of color.
Kitchen is moving along
We’ve started painting in the kitchen, Benjamin Moore’s Hidden Sapphire provides a dramatic backdrop.
Inspiration for the beams
We took our inspiration for the architectural beams from Cliff May’s personal home, built in 1956 in Los Angeles.
Deck framing complete
We’ve finished framing the Trex deck and you can now get a sense of its great curvature.
