For years, Mohawk has been an industry leader in seeking innovative ways to recycle, reduce, reuse and renew. Our GreenWorks® initiative is about producing the best products on the market in an environmentally conscious way. Five hundred Mohawk products contain recycled material. Each year, Mohawk recycles 3 billion plastic bottles into products such as EverStrand® carpet. And the energy savings for producing seven square yards of SmartStrand® is equal to one gallon of gasoline. And that’s just a small look at what Mohawk’s doing to decrease our carbon footprint.
