Children’s Health Council (CHC) programs and services promote the healthy growth and development of children in our community, with
an emphasis on early identification and intervention as well as prevention through parent and teacher education.
A multidisciplinary approach and specific areas of expertise – children with autism spectrum disorders; the developmental, behavioral and emotional problems of infants and young children;
older children’s challenges in schools; and psychosocial issues associated with complex medical problems – make CHC unique among Bay Area care providers.
Our goal is to help children reach their maximum potential by building on their strengths and teaching them strategies to
overcome problems. For more information, please visit www.chconline.org.

California Coastal Cleanup Day is the premier volunteer event focused on the marine environment in the country. Each year, thousands of volunteers work
together to collect close to a million pounds of trash and recyclables from our beaches, lakes, and waterways. California
Coastal Cleanup Day has been hailed by the Guinness Book of World Records as "the largest garbage collection" (1993). Since
the program started in 1985, over 800,000 Californians have removed more than 12 million pounds of debris from our state's
shorelines and coast. When combined with the International Coastal Cleanup, organized by The Ocean Conservancy and taking
place on the same day, California Coastal Cleanup Day becomes part of one of the largest volunteer events of the year.

Food & Water Watch is a nonprofit consumer organization that works to ensure clean water and safe food. We challenge the corporate control and
abuse of our food and water resources by empowering people to take action and by transforming the public consciousness about
what we eat and drink. Food & Water Watch works with grassroots organizations around the world to create an economically and
environmentally viable future. Through research, public and policymaker education, media, and lobbying, we advocate policies
that guarantee safe, wholesome food produced in a humane and sustainable manner and public, rather than private, control of
water resources including oceans, rivers, and groundwater.
