It starts with a blank slate

We’re transforming this 4,000-square-foot office space into the "Reimagining the Sunset Home" exhibit. Spaces will include living/dining, kitchen, home office, unplugged den, master bedroom suite, and an outdoor living room.

Designers pow-wow

Warming up the space with hardwood

First task: rip out the carpeting and replace with Armstrong’s new American Scrape hardwood, an engineered hickory floor that is scratch and stain resistant. Armstrong is donating a portion of the sales from the American Scrape Collection to Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit organization that builds specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans.

Scraped Texture

A big trend in recent years is related to texturing—in floors, in furniture and in textiles. The three dimensional, undulating surface of sculpted hardwood can completely transform a room, each board in the American Scrape™ collection from Armstrong Floors—featured in the Reimagining the Sunset Home exhibit—has been individually sculpted to create the look of a time-worn floor. Eye candy for the ceiling

In the home office of the Sunset Reimagined Home, we add texture and a pop of color with Armstrong’s Metallaire™ Decorative Ceilings.
