Johnson sees some of the trends as throwbacks to other decades: “The most surprising thing about this summer’s trends is the nostalgic nod to the decor of yesteryear. From wind chimes to birdhouses, these trends are an unexpected trip down memory lane, with an updated, modern feel.”
