How to Create a Minimalist Succulent Tablescape

Our Bay Area Idea House design team shows you how an easy DIY succulent centerpiece can wake up a round table

Sunset

A simple succulent tablescape can add a pop of color and a burst of life to any tabletop. This project uses a wide planter to create a round table decoration, but you can also use any wide, deep dish since it doesn’t require a drainage hole. The Bay Area Idea House design team used rhipsalis, a grassy-looking type of succulent, to create a full, lush look that doesn’t require a lot of maintenance. All the centerpiece needs is a light watering once a week, or more often if kept outside in a hot, dry spot. The elegant succulents make a perfect centerpiece for a holiday or or dinner party, or you can leave it out year-round as a chic dining table accent.
