Cara Meyers likes to mix natural and contemporary styles in her landscape designs
Horticulturist and Garden Designer
DIG Gardens and Hidden Gardens Nursery, Co-Owner
Santa Cruz, California
Cara Meyers and her husband, Will, own two garden stores in Santa Cruz County: DIG Gardens and Hidden Gardens Nursery. They also do interior and exterior residential landscape design and installation. Cara writes a weekly garden column for the Santa Cruz Sentinel called “Get Growing,” which covers plants that inspire her and things to do in the garden.
In her landscape designs, Cara mixes natural and contemporary styles, and relies mostly on succulents and other drought-tolerant plants. She also loves using reclaimed and repurposed items, such as barn wood, and metal art as garden accents.
