Air plants are an easy way to get a green thumb fix without getting messy or needing any outdoor planting space. Air plants, or tillandsia, don’t need any soil to grow. Instead they get all of the nutrients they need from dust and decaying matter in the air and from the occasional dunking in water.

Air plants are great indoor plants because they can take bright, indirect light and need next to no maintenance. All you have to do is soak them once a week for a few hours. Learn how to use air plants to create living art or add greenery to your walls.
