Huge, radiant blooms in yellow, orange, maroon, creamy white, and bicolors. Depending on variety, plants grow 2 to 12 feet tall, with flower heads from 4 to 12 inches across. The flowers are followed by edible seeds that are much relished by birds.

Tall sunflowers should be staked. Plant 1 1/2 feet apart.
