The Sunset Dream Garden Awards competition has been celebrating great garden design for more than a decade.

Our 2010–2011 competition includes a contest to find the most distinctive makeovers completed by Western homeowners, to be entered by nonprofessional gardeners only.

Home gardeners who have renovated their own landscapes—whether front yards, sideyards, backyards or entire gardens (completed after January 2007)—and who live in one of the 13 Western states or western Canada (British Columbia), are invited to submit completed designs to our Dream Garden Awards competition.

The winning home gardener will receive a $500 prize, and possible publication of the garden in Sunset magazine.

Deadline for completed entry packages: June 18, 2010

To enter: Download the official rules and entry form for home gardeners

Or write to:

Who is eligible: The competition is open to nonprofessional home gardeners who live in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, or British Columbia, Canada.
