Watch the best way to remove kernels from the cob

Sunset

Grab the napkins! It’s time for corn on–and off–the cob. Protect your fingers and prevent your kernels from flying everywhere with this easy cutting technique. You’ll need a sharp knife with a long blade and a large glass measuring cup to catch your kernels and measure how much you’ve cut. Start by taking off the husk and silks. A vegetable brush can help remove any hard to reach silks. Slice off the fat end to make it flat and stable before putting the cut end into the bottom of the measuring cup. Press against the ear as you cut off the corn kernels beneath your hand into the cup.
