Italian Beef Sandwiches

Sandro Rossi brings a Florentine classic, boiled beef sandwiches, to his customers at Caffé 817 in Oakland, California. He layers the tender beef ― slow-cooked to produce succulent meat and flavorful broth ― on crusty rolls brushed with chili oil, then drizzles a zesty green sauce over the meat. At home, you can make the salsa verde while the beef is in the oven. Serve the sandwiches with broth for dipping, and they're the perfect pair for weeknights, casual get-togethers, or anytime you want a delicious dinner for a crowd.
