The sun ― and the barbecue ― are out together this time of year. A fruit salad would complete the picture very nicely. Some spectacular salad combinations lurk in this lineup.

Layer the fruit in a tall, clear bowl to make a spectacular centerpiece for a crowd, or make a grown-up version of a molded salad with sweet Muscat wine. Fruit salad easily becomes the main event for lunch or a light supper too ― try it with grilled shrimp or beef.
