A good Super Bowl party demands easy to eat dishes with lots of flavor. Our southwest Super Bowl party offers just that, with chile, tacos, and guacamole, and a few surprises.
Start off with a trio of salsa-type salads ( Avocado-corn Relish, Salsa Fresca, and Orza Bean Salad) and one of our 5 favorite guacamoles with plenty of tortilla chips for those who like to dip.
Make a batch (or two) of warmly spiced Carne Adovada and serve it with corn tortillas. The chile can be made ahead of time and heated up in time for the game (or half time). For a larger crowd, add some Crisp Chicken Tacos.
In any case, be sure to serve Classic Margaritas on the Rocks or a refreshing Mexican beer.
For those with a sweet tooth, bake up a Tres Leches Cake so delicious your guests won't even mind if their favorite team lost.
